Process Engineer, Kernsville, NCThe Process Engineer provides technical support for assigned processes and product lines, ensuring operational efficiency, quality compliance, and cost reduction. This role combinesengineering expertise with leadership responsibilities to optimize production, reduce cycle times, and drive continuous improvement Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement programs to optimize producibility, reduce cycle time, andminimize manufacturing losses.• Conduct process and product audits, ensuring adherence to company quality programsand recommending corrective actions.• Monitor and measure manufacturing performance metrics; introduce new techniquesto improve quality and reduce waste.• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance cost, delivery, andcustomer satisfaction.• Participate in product strategy, development, and manufacturing coordination fornew and emerging products.• Collaborate with the manufacturing manager to manage schedules, order raw materials, troubleshoot production issues, and provide direction to operating teams.• Share supervisory responsibilities for a team of associates, including coaching, training, attendance management, and performance oversight.• Other duties maybe assigned Education & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or relateddiscipline).• Experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and qualityassurance.• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvementmethodologies.• Familiarity with ERP systems, CMMS/EAM tools (SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and work instructions in English.• Ability to complete basic reports and communicate effectively with supervisors andcoworkers in English.• Ability to perform basic math, including measurements and simple algebra.• Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and troubleshoot routineissues in English.• Strong focus on quality, productivity, and safe equipment operation.• Strong attention to quality, productivity, and safe equipment operation.• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional electrical components.• Moderate to high noise; hearing protection required in designated areas.• Non climate controlled environment with seasonal temperature changes.
