Remote Staff Accountant

Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting for multiple clients in Quick Books Online and Desktop Perform monthly reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement prep Build monthly sales journals from POS reports (Square, Heartland, Toast)Recognize payroll expense from payroll/POS reports (Square, Heartland, Toast, ADP, Quick Books)Prepare, pay, and file multi-jurisdiction sales tax returns (monthly/quarterly)Act as primary accounting point of contact for assigned clients Collaborate with internal team on consistent, accurate, timely deliverables Track work and documentation in Karbon Support quality control and adherence to firm standards Qualifications 5+ years in public accounting or client-based accounting firm environment (required)Strong Quick Books Online/Desktop skills; QBO Pro Advisor certification a plus Solid grasp of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close Experience with multi-jurisdiction sales tax filing Experience recognizing payroll expense from third-party reports (Square, Toast, Heartland, ADP)Strong communication and client-service skills Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously Proficiency with Karbon, ADP, Microsoft Office Hospitality/F&B/service-industry client experience preferred
