We are recruiting for an established client in the logistics and transportation industry seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an AP professional who enjoys a combination of hands-on accounting work and team leadership. The position will oversee a small AP team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounts payable operations.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise and support a team of two Accounts Payable professionals
- Oversee daily accounts payable processing and ensure invoices are accurately and efficiently processed
- Review and approve invoices, payments, and related documentation
- Help ensure accurate coding, matching, and reconciliation of invoices
- Monitor AP workflows and resolve discrepancies or issues
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and organized AP records
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
- Provide training, guidance, and support to AP team members
- Partner with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment-related questions
- Take a hands-on approach to AP while providing day-to-day leadership
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of accounts payable experience xhqgsiq Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a small team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment
