Job Description: We're a Manitowoc engine machining and rebuilding shop working on automotive, diesel, and industrial engines. We're looking for a hardworking, dependable person to join our shop team — no engine experience required. We'll train you. This is a hands-on role. You'll be the first and last person to handle our customers' parts: unloading engines as they come in, helping tear them down, getting every part clean for our machinists, and loading finished work for pickup and delivery. If you like staying busy, don't mind getting dirty, and take pride in doing a job right, this is a great place to start.
What you'll do: Unload customer engines and parts by hand, hoist, and forklift Tag and organize parts so everything stays with the right job Help disassemble engines under direction of our machinists and builders Clean blocks, heads, cranks, and components using hot tanks, washers, and blast equipment Stage, protect, and load finished parts for customer pickup and delivery Maintain cleaning equipment and keep the wash area and shop floor clean and safe What you bring 18 years or older Able to obtain forklift certification (we'll train and certify you)Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stay on your feet all shift Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Careful with other people's property and willing to follow safety procedures Comfortable in a hot, loud, greasy shop environment
Nice to have: Experience with — or a real interest in — engines: cars, trucks, diesel, marine, or small engines Current forklift certification Shop, automotive, manufacturing, or warehouse experience Valid driver's license Room to grow This is an entry point into the trade. Compensation & benefits: $15–$19 per hour depending on experience, plus medical insurance, paid time off, and 401k. Paid forklift certification and on-the-job training. Full-time, on-site.
