Compensation Range: based on experience; starting at $125,000/year Keys to Success This role is best suited for candidates with strong reporting, data, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting experience who are comfortable working with complex data and reporting outputs. Candidates should be comfortable learning new reporting technologies and working independently to understand requirements, investigate discrepancies, validate outputs, and build or enhance reports. Reporting & Data (Strong): Experience creating, modifying, validating, automating, or troubleshooting reports, dashboards, data extracts, or reporting outputs. Data Validation & Reconciliation (Strong): Ability to investigate differences between systems and reporting outputs, identify root causes, and determine whether an issue originates in source data, calculations, formulas, queries, mappings, or reporting logic. Technical / Query Skills (Strong): Experience using SQL and/or reporting, BI, database, or data-analysis tools such as Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced Excel, Alteryx, Access, or similar technologies. Equity / Financial Reporting (Strong): Strong equity compensation and financial reporting knowledge, particularly where the candidate can understand the business meaning behind reporting outputs and calculations. Learning Agility (Strong): Ability to learn new reporting tools, systems, data structures, and business requirements quickly. The Work You'll DoThe responsibilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability that may be required. Build, modify, validate, and troubleshoot reports and reporting outputs supporting equity financial reporting and platform transformation needs Support report QA, regression testing, calculation validation, and client-specific reporting requests Work through report discrepancies, data differences, formatting issues, and source-of-truth questions Analyze data extracts and reporting outputs to determine why information does or does not tie Work with queries and reporting logic to investigate and resolve reporting issues Partner with Product, Financial Reporting, Migration, Client Testing & Training, Admin Data Reconciliation, Professional Services, and client-facing stakeholders Document report requirements, logic, assumptions, defects, open questions, and resolution steps Support report automation, process efficiency, and scalability efforts where possible Assist with custom reporting requests after base reporting needs are stabilized Escalate risks, dependencies, and unclear requirements appropriately Learn and apply new reporting tools and technologies as required Support client-specific reporting needs and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders The Expertise We're Looking For 3+ years of report building, data analysis, financial reporting, reconciliation, BI, systems reporting, or similar experience Understanding of equity plan compensation and the wealth management industry. Experience with SQL, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced Excel, Alteryx, Access, or similar tools, preferred Experience creating, modifying, automating, validating, or troubleshooting reports or data extracts Ability to investigate reporting discrepancies and identify root causes Experience working with complex or multi-source data Strong equity compensation and financial reporting knowledge Experience with equity compensation, financial reporting, brokerage, investment reporting, or other complex financial data Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills Ability to learn new reporting platforms and tools quicklyCEP, accounting, finance, BI, database, or product/reporting certification, preferred but not required The Right Fit This role is ideal for a self-directed, analytical professional who enjoys figuring out how data and reporting work and solving problems when the output does not make sense. The Role: Stock & Option Solutions is seeking a Report Builder to support financial reporting and equity platform reporting needs during a complex platform migration and transformation initiative. This role focuses on report creation, report enhancement, QA, validation, troubleshooting, data analysis, and client-driven reporting requests. The Purpose of Your Role / The Value You Deliver The value of this role is to build and validate reporting outputs that are accurate, usable, explainable, scalable, and aligned to client and stakeholder needs.
