The Mixer Operator is responsible for the safe operation of industrial mixers, the accurate scaling of ingredients, and mixing products in the proper sequence to produce the cheesecakes and toppings used in our baked goods. Responsibilities: Respectfully communicates with all co-workers Pre-weighing and preparing raw baking ingredients Combining dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers Ensuring product ingredients are mixed as the recipe specifies Ensuring product quality conforms to quality standards through the baking process Ensuring products are wrapped/bagged, and correct problems with machinery settings Seal-out products with correct labeling for warehouse storage and shipping Compliance with company-wide Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Qualifications: High School diploma or GED 6 months prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Understanding of production procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices Teamwork and communication skills Meet all federal and state regulatory requirements and adhere to our SQF program Manufacturing or Food Handling industry knowledge Industrial Technical or Machinery experience Basic hand tool and computer user interface knowledge Food and Safety knowledge Physical demands and work environment: Ability to perform repetitious work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand up to 80% of shift Squatting, and pushing/pulling up to 30% of shift Twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting to 80% of shift While performing the duties of this position, the employee is: Susceptible to common allergens present in our bakery facilities associated with the production of our World Class cakes and desserts. Some of these allergens are Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Tree nut, Peanut, and Coconut.
