Custodial WorkerUnder direct supervision, performs tasks necessary to insure the cleanliness of buildings and grounds. Examples Of DutiesA. Maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment to insure cleanliness; repairs, inspects, shampoos, replaces, and cleans contents and fixtures of the buildings, as assigned; will report any building deficiencies found during shift. B. Maintains consumables inventory to ensure adequate supplies to perform duties. C. Conducts office, classroom, and common space furniture moves; assists with college event set ups. D. Assists with snow removal, which may include the operation of motorized equipment, and with emergency evacuations as assigned. E. Conserves energy by turning off lights in unoccupied rooms. F. Provides excellent customer service to visitors, staff, and students. G. Assists with campus security and may deliver intra-campus mail. H. Serves as a member of the emergency response team.
