Apply for this role →About Us:
We’re building the payment rails for real estate. Backed by top investors (a 16z, Sequoia Capital), we’re generating real revenue and growing 30% month over month. Our team is small, senior, and experienced. We’re looking for an engineer who wants to contribute meaningfully to a product that’s reshaping an industry.
What you’ll do:
This role is full stack, and we’re looking for someone who brings a frontend point of view to it. You’ll build across the whole stack, and you’ll be the person who pushes hardest on the interface: interaction details and the states nobody specced. The surfaces you’ll own are the ones where money moves: loan applications, hosted checkout, invoices and proposals, payment plans. Long multi-step flows, real money in the inputs, and failure states that have to be right the first time. Build and ship new product features from database to UI, with extra weight on the UI and the interaction design. Lead projects end to end: take an ambiguous problem, scope it with product and design, break it into shippable pieces, and drive it to done. Scope aggressively. Find the smallest version that solves the real problem, ship it, and iterate from what you learn. Work across our Type Script / React / Node.js / Postgres / GCP stack. Partner with design from the first sketch, not the handoff. Push back on flows, prototype alternatives, help decide what ships. Contribute to architecture and data modeling as we scale, including the event-driven pieces behind money movement. Raise the bar on our component library and design system. Own the details that make a product feel finished: loading and empty states, error copy, keyboard paths, perceived performance. Why this role You own the problem, not the ticket: you’ll be handed goals and constraints, not specs to implement. AI is in the daily loop: get real leverage out of it, and still own what ships. Own the frontend bar: our design system, our frontend architecture, and the call on whether something is good enough to ship. Speed comes from scope: we work fast by cutting scope and prioritizing what actually matters, not by working longer hours. Small sharp releases over big-bang launches, craftsmanship where it counts. Fully remote, with coworking space reimbursement.
What we’re looking for:
Solid professional experience building and shipping software across both frontend and backend systems. Deep Type Script and React. You have opinions about state management, forms, and component APIs, and reasons for them. Real product judgment. You catch the flow problem in the mock before it ships, you can argue for a simpler version of the feature, and you push back when something shouldn’t be built at all. You scope your own work. You can turn a vague ask into a plan, break it into pieces that ship independently, and cut what isn’t worth building. Care about UX craft: responsive layouts, accessibility, motion, latency. Comfortable in Node.js and Postgres. You can model a schema and design an API you won’t resent in a year. Based in the US and authorized to work here without visa sponsorship Collaborative, curious, and kind.
Bonus points:
Owned a design system or component library. Fluent in Figma, or you prototype in code to explore a design. Exposure to financial, payments, or real-time systems. You’ve made AI tooling actually pay off in your own work, and can say concretely how. Prior startup or small-team experience. Salary range$160k - $200k + competitive equity and benefits
