Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry team. This role focuses on the care of patients with moderate physiologic instability who require cardiac and respiratory monitoring and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care for patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbations, pneumonia, CHF, and trach support.
Conduct regular assessments and monitor patients for vital signs and neurological changes.
Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula, BIPAP/CPAP, and AirVo.
Manage continuous cardiac monitoring and blood glucose monitoring every 4 hours.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
Maintain documentation in the Meditech system to support efficient care coordination.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 18 Patient Ratios: 1:4-5Staff Support: 2 Patient Care Technicians and 1 Unit Secretary
- Schedule Requirements
- This position offers self-scheduling, with the expectation of three weekend shifts every four weeks.
Qualifications:
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
Dress CodeAll nursing staff are required to wear royal blue scrubs while on duty.
