Radiologic Technologist

Reston Hospital Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced acute care setting. In this PRN role, you’ll support emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services by producing accurate radiographic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and following ALARA and infection control standards. You’ll collaborate with radiologists and the care team, document exams in PACS/RIS, and use advanced imaging technology. Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and imaging protocols. Ensure patient identification, screening, education, and safe positioning for all procedures. Apply radiation safety practices and infection control standards in all patient interactions. Operate, troubleshoot, and care for radiologic equipment and related technologies (PACS/RIS). Document exams accurately and timely in the electronic health record and imaging systems. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Respond to urgent and emergency imaging requests in a fast-paced acute care environment. Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives.
