Volunteer at RRRC's Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in Richmond

Help Richmond Road Runners Club bring its 49th Annual Turkey Trot 10K & 5K to life on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Joseph Bryan Park in Richmond. Volunteers make it possible for runners, walkers, and children to enjoy this Richmond tradition. Choose a role when you sign up. Current opportunities include directing and cheering on participants as a course marshal, helping at a water stop, assisting with parking or race-day registration, handing out medals, supporting the finish line, serving post-race refreshments, and taking event photos. Most shifts run from approximately 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.; parking and registration roles begin earlier. Please check your chosen role for its exact arrival time and responsibilities. No race experience is required for most roles. Volunteers should be ready to work outdoors in the day's weather; some positions involve prolonged standing or walking. Age requirements vary by role, from 10 to 18 years old. Course marshals and parking attendants receive safety vests at check-in. Volunteers check in at Shelter #3 in Joseph Bryan Park, across from the soccer fields.
