TITLE: Attorney, Legal & Business Affairs REPORTS TO: EVP/Head of Legal & Business Affairs LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (Minimum 4 days a week in person, non-negotiable) What kind of person are you? Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate recording agreements, publishing agreements, and other music industry contracts Advise on copyright and other intellectual property matters related to the label and publishing company Manage deal flow and maintain organized deal files and contract tracking systems Support business affairs and A&R teams on deal structuring, business points, and talent negotiations Provide day-to-day legal counsel to A&Rs and staff on a broad range of business, corporate, and operational matters Beneficial Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active member in good standing of the California State Bar (or eligible for admission via RIHC) Minimum of 3 full years of experience at an entertainment law firm or in-house at a music company Education Juris Doctor (JD) required
