Apply for this role →CNG Field Service Technician We're seeking an experienced CNG Field Service Technician to maintain and repair compressed natural gas fueling equipment. This is a hands-on field position for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with natural gas compression systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs at CNG/RNG fueling stations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures
- Service compressors, pumps, engines, valves, piping, actuators, gas dryers, and related equipment
- Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur
- Complete service reports and document repairs, inspections, and parts usage
- Travel between customer locations using a company vehicle
- Follow established procedures for safely working around compressed natural gas equipment
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required
Qualifications:
- Direct CNG service or maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Experience with natural gas compressors and compression equipment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, controls, hydraulics, or HVAC is beneficial
- Industrial electrical or heavy equipment maintenance backgrounds will also be considered
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors, travel locally/regionally, and lift 50+ lbs.
- High school diploma or GED
