This opportunity allows physicians to provide essential OB/GYN services to a diverse adult patient population in a supportive hospital environment, offering rewarding patient experiences and collaborative support.
Job Highlights: Location: Near Haynesville, Virginia
Position Type: Locum Tenens - OBGYN
Shift: 24-hour on-site call coverage
Daily Patient Volume: Approximately 11 patients per day
Call Requirements:
On-site call coverage, including labor and delivery support, ER consultations, and floor consults Support: Full hospital nursing support, EMR (eCW for outpatient, Meditech for inpatient)
Responsibilities:
Inpatient Rounding: Provide consistent on-site care for laboring and triaged OB patients.
Delivery & Procedures: Manage scheduled inductions, deliveries, and emergent procedures as needed.
Consultations: Respond to ER and floor consults and be available by phone for emergent inquiries from hospital staff or partnering clinicians.
Trauma Call: Respond to obstetric emergencies as required, supporting patient needs comprehensively.
Key Qualifications:
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Licensing: Current Virginia medical license requiredDEA Certification: Valid DEA registration
