Physical Therapist Assistant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

What You'll Do: Carry out individualized physical therapy treatment programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility activities, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices. Observe patient response to treatment and communicate progress or changes to the Physical Therapist. Reinforce patient and family education related to exercises, mobility, and safety. Document treatments and patient progress accurately and timely. Collaborate with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patient recovery and functional goals. Maintain a safe, organized treatment environment and follow established clinical and safety standards.

What We're Looking For: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current New York State authorization to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant, as applicable. Strong patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to safely assist patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic activities. Hospital or rehabilitation experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits: $34.09 $37.82/hour, depending on experience Full 1199 Union Benefits Full-Time | Day Shift
