Assistant Restaurant Manager

Zaxby’s is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations in our fast-casual restaurant. You’ll lead shifts, coach team members, and ensure our guests enjoy friendly, accurate, and timely service. Responsibilities include supervising front- and back-of-house teams, maintaining food quality and safety standards, managing cash and deposits, and assisting with scheduling, inventory, and ordering. You’ll model Southern hospitality, help train new hires, and support the General Manager in achieving sales, labor, and service goals while fostering a positive, growth-focused work culture. Lead shifts and supervise front- and back-of-house team members Ensure outstanding guest service, handling complaints and resolving issues promptly Maintain food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with regulations Assist with scheduling, labor management, and daily deployment of staff Manage cash handling, register reconciliations, and bank deposits Support inventory counts, ordering, and waste control to hit cost targets Train and coach new and existing team members on procedures and service standards Support the General Manager in meeting sales, labor, and service goals Promote a positive, team-oriented culture aligned with Zaxby’s values Ensure adherence to company policies, health codes, and safety procedures Restaurant operations Shift scheduling Cash handling and POS systems Food safety and sanitation Team leadership Customer service Inventory management Conflict resolution Training and coaching staff Basic MS Office or scheduling software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Food Safety Manager Certification (e.g., ServSafe) CPR/First Aid preferred
