The Work: You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate both CNC and manual machining equipment Machine precision parts used in industrial valve repair and manufacturing Work with lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications Select tooling, fixtures, inserts, and workholding for each project Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and setups to maintain quality and efficiency Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to minimize downtime Collaborate with machinists, engineers, supervisors, and service teams Maintain accurate production and job documentation Help maintain a safe, organized, and professional shop environment Machines, Controls & Equipment You'll work with equipment such as: CNC lathes Manual lathes Milling machines Drill presses Surface grinders and related shop equipment Inspection Equipment Calipers Micrometers Depth gauges Indicators Dial bore gauges Materials You'll Work With Depending on the project, you may machine: Stainless steel Carbon steel Alloy steel Industrial valve components and related materials What We're Looking ForRequired 5–7 years of machining experience preferred Strong understanding of CNC and manual machining processes Experience setting up and operating machining equipment Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, inserts, and machining accessories Experience using precision measuring instruments Strong math and geometry skills Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented attitude Preferred (Not Required) Experience in industrial repair machining environments Valve repair or rotating equipment experience Technical schooling or machining certifications Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Millennium Power Services because the work is varied, practical, and tied to real industrial repair operations supporting critical infrastructure customers across the country.
