Armed Transportation Officer - Los Angeles

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident. Must possess a valid Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration. Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. Must be in good overall physical condition and capable of performing the duties of the position. Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred. Prior federal clearance or experience working on federal contracts is preferred. Must possess a valid BSIS Guard Card and BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit (9mm qualification preferred).

Experience Requirements: Applicants must have:

• A minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer, Military Police Officer, or Security Officer performing duties related to the custody, control, detention, or transportation of civil or administrative detainees; and
• At least one (1) year of general work experience demonstrating the ability to:
• Interact professionally and tactfully with the public.
• Understand and apply written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed written orders, training materials, and operational directives.
• Remain calm and exercise sound judgment during stressful situations, including emergencies, disturbances, evacuations, and critical incidents.
