Your new role We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations for a premier retail destination in San Diego County. This highly visible role offers the unique opportunity to work side by side with the Development team on an exciting large scale redevelopment project that will transform the property for years to come. As the operational leader, you will oversee property operations, tenant relations, budgeting, capital improvements, vendor management, security, risk management, and overall asset performance. You will play a critical role in keeping the property running smoothly while redevelopment efforts are underway, partnering closely with development, construction, and design teams to deliver a best in class experience for tenants and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading on-site teams and third-party service providers Managing property operations, maintenance, security, and landscaping programs Building strong relationships with retail tenants and community stakeholders Developing and managing operating and capital budgets Overseeing contract negotiations, vendor performance, and capital improvements Supporting financial reporting, forecasting, and expense management Conducting regular property inspections and ensuring compliance with company standards Partnering with internal teams to support leasing, marketing, and redevelopment initiatives What you'll need to succeed 8+ years of commercial real estate property management experience Strong retail property or shopping center management experience preferred Proven experience managing multiple properties and operating budgets Experience with vendor management, service contracts, capital projects, and facility operations Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability Ability to build relationships with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders Experience supporting redevelopment, construction, or major capital improvement projects is highly preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a highly respected real estate owner and operator Competitive compensation package including bonus potential Strong benefits package High-profile leadership role with portfolio responsibility Exposure to large-scale redevelopment projects Collaborative culture with opportunities for long-term career growth and advancement What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
