Design Architect
Location: Remote (U.S.-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites in Texas and/or Ohio as needed.
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Architect to support the planning, design, and execution of facilities associated with large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for leading architectural design efforts from concept through construction documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong design capabilities with technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a passion for creating functional environments that support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Lead architectural design efforts from conceptual planning through construction documentation. Develop site layouts, floor plans, elevations, renderings, and presentation materials. Coordinate with engineering, construction, development, and operations teams throughout project lifecycles. Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, and permit packages. Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards. Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and design assessments. Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges and maintain project schedules. Support facility planning for industrial, operational, corporate, and infrastructure-related projects. Review shop drawings, submittals, and design revisions during construction. Drive sustainable, efficient, and innovative design solutions. Maintain high standards of design quality while balancing project budgets and schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.5+ years of architectural design experience. Proficiency with: Revit AutoCADSketch UpAdobe Creative Suite Bluebeam Microsoft Office Suite Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and building codes. Experience coordinating architectural projects with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: Licensed Architect (RA) or actively pursuing licensure. Experience with energy, industrial, utility, manufacturing, commercial, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED standards. Experience working with EPC contractors and cross-functional project teams. Familiarity with BIM coordination and design management processes.
