Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)To support a growing healthcare team, the temporary remote Certified Medical Review Specialist will create and write reports based on medical records, analyze provider billing for compliance, and ensure high-quality reviews while working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key responsibilities:
Enter and verify claim/examinee data in the system database
Review claims for completeness and resolve any missing or inconsistent information
Apply coding and billing guidelines, making manual adjustments as necessaryRequired qualificationsCurrent certification (OASIS, RAC-CT, or CCS)
Strong understanding of medical billing and coding concepts, including CPT and ICD-10
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
