Primary Function: To identify needs of youth and implement individual, group and program strategies and interventionsKey Roles & Responsibilities: Provide individual counseling, case management, and/or mentoring for youth at assigned club site(s) Facilitate small groups with curriculum focused on development of social and emotional learning skillsAssist in needs assessments of programs, grant proposal writings, and program evaluations, based on need and experienceAssist with or lead staff training, based on need and experienceAssist in needs assessment of programs, proposal writing and program evaluationsOther duties as assigned or as interest is expressed (position can be flexible and may be open to specific tasks that students wish to accomplish) Skills & Knowledge Required: Enrolled in Social Work degree program an accredited college or universityEnthusiasm to work with youth & their families and knowledge of youth development preferredDemonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skillsKnowledge and practice of the Social Work Code of Ethics and Values
