About the Role: The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, overseeing critical accounting functions, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and modernizing accounting operations through process improvement and automation. This role requires a deep technical accounting expertise, strong public company reporting experience, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams. The VP of Accounting will be a key partner to the Chief Accounting Officer and senior leadership, with a focus on accounting leadership and strategy, financial reporting, compliance, and core accounting operations. Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred), a CPA certification, and at least 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience. The role demands a leader with a strong background in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls, as well as a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and process improvement. Experience in real estate, REIT, or other asset-intensive industries is strongly preferred, along with a background in a private equity-backed organization or rapidly growing enterprise.
