Shift: 08:00am-05:00pmDuration: 6 monthsHours/week: 20 Hours/weekJob Description: - Provide routine and emergency medical care to patients or inmates in state facilities, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring progress, prescribing medications, administering vaccinations, and performing minor surgical procedures.- Conduct routine physical examinations of clients or employees to determine medical condition for claims purposes or employment suitability.- Attend professional meetings, work conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of total quality care plans.- Consult with other physicians and determine the need for specialized care or treatment; act as a consultant to other professionals such as social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists.- Instruct nursing, technical, and paraprofessional staff.- Prepare medical evaluations and reports, including admission, discharge, and death summaries.- Interpret and analyze laboratory reports and findings, and document patient progress.- Write medical orders and instructions for nursing and support staff.
