About 3i Members3i is a rapidly growing, invitation-only community of private investors sharing deals, insights, andcontacts. With a focus on alternative and off-market deal flow, shared benefits, and investorservices, 3i serves as a kitchen table around which highly engaged family offices and privateallocators can discuss and debate compelling, unexpected opportunities in emerging sectors. The Role3i is seeking a Director of Programming to shape what its members come to hear, learn, anddebate — and to produce it end to end. This role owns the content side of 3i's calendar: the themes, the speakers, the formats, and the run of show. You will work closely with regional directors, the content and marketing teams, and the executive team to translate member insights, industry shifts, and cultural trends into programming that is sharp, purposeful, and worth clearing a calendar for.3i's programming platform is still being built. There is no inherited franchise to maintain here —you will be defining what a 3i speaker series is, who belongs on stage, and why a membershould keep showing up. If the appeal of this role is building that from a blank page rather thaninheriting an established platform, it is the right one. You will work alongside three senior event coordinators who own venue sourcing, logistics, and vendor relationships, freeing you to focus on content, speakers, and program outcomes.
What You'll Do: Programming Strategy-Define the programming strategy and content calendar across formats and regions, inpartnership with regional directors-Develop event and programming themes, narratives, and positioning — deciding whateach program needs to say and to whom-Build programming that compounds: each session should connect to the last anddeepen member relationships rather than stand alone as a one-off-Bring a point of view on what this audience actually wants to spend an evening on, andpressure-test it against member feedback and post-event data Speaker Series & Content Curation-Own speaker sourcing, vetting, and curation across roundtables, educational series, andlarge-format events-Build and maintain a bench of speakers, moderators, and subject-matter voices relevantto private investors and family offices-Brief and prepare speakers and moderators — framing, talking points, and what asuccessful session looks like for this room-Shape session formats: what should be a fireside chat, what should be a workingroundtable, what should be a panel, and what should not be an event at all Production & Execution-Own production of 3i's programming, including small-format roundtables, regionalgatherings (10–15 per quarter), speaker series of 100+, and the annual New YorkSummit (400+ attendees)-Develop run of show, pre-event briefings, and post-event debriefs, using each cycle toraise the bar on the next-Partner with the three senior event coordinators on logistics and venue needs so thatcontent and production stay in sync-Partner with regional directors to shape local programming that reflects both the 3iidentity and city-specific character Cross-Functional Partnership-Work with content and marketing to ensure programming generates shareable, lastingvalue beyond the room — recaps, clips, written takeaways-Represent 3i credibly in member-facing settings; this membership includes formerfounders post-exit, family office principals, and fund managers-Translate what you hear from members into the next quarter's programming
What We're Looking For: -Programming or content instincts: you think in audience, themes, and outcomes, andyou can articulate why a given topic matters to a given room-Hands-on production experience — you have run events, not just planned them, and youare comfortable owning a run of show--Experience building programming from scratch rather than inheriting an establishedplatform; you know the difference between curating a franchise and creating one-An internal communications, editorial, or content background is a strong signal here —this role is fundamentally about knowing your audience and building for it-Comfort interfacing directly with high-caliber, time-scarce professionals; you arepolished, well-prepared, and know how to hold a room without dominating it-Team management experience is welcome but not required — the ability to collaboratecredibly with senior coordinators is-Genuine enthusiasm for community building — not just producing programming, butusing it as an instrument for something larger LocationNew York City (in-office, 5 days/week), near Madison Square Park.
