Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Assistant

Description: We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) specializing in OB/GYN for a locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts. This inpatient-focused role begins as soon as credentialed and runs for an initial 3-month assignment. The provider will support a high-acuity labor and delivery service with 24/7 interdisciplinary coverage in place. This is a nights and weekends inpatient role within a busy delivery service. About the facilityAcute care hospital Approximately 1,200 deliveries annually Inpatient labor and delivery service EPIC EMR system 24/7 coverage by OB MDs, PAs, and CNMs Variable inpatient census and patient volume Expedited credentialing available ( days) EPIC training required during onboarding Compensation:

Travel expenses reimbursed, including: Mileage Rental car Hotel Flight Malpractice Covered Job ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient OB/GYN care in labor and delivery setting Support management of active labor, deliveries, and postpartum care Collaborate with OB physicians, PAs, and certified nurse midwives Respond to inpatient obstetric needs during scheduled shifts Assist with high-acuity obstetric patient management Document patient care in EPIC EMR Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards QualificationsActive Massachusetts Physician Assistant license required at submission PA-C certification required OB/GYN inpatient experience preferred Must be comfortable with night and weekend inpatient shifts Strong clinical decision-making in high-acuity settings EPIC EMR experience required or willingness to complete training Working HoursStart: As soon as credentialed Assignment length: 3 months Schedule: Full-time, 3 shifts per week Shift times: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Nights and weekends required Call requirement: 3 shifts per week (inpatient coverage) SkillsLabor and delivery management Inpatient obstetric care High-acuity patient assessment Team-based collaboration in OB settings EPIC EMR proficiency Ability to manage variable inpatient volumes Strong communication under pressure
