Shipping Assistant - Harmony, PA

Location: Harmony, PA

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $22.00/hour

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (daily overtime available)

Position Overview: The Shipping Assistant will support daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and proper documentation throughout the process. This role works closely with the shop supervisor and plays a key part in maintaining smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities: Use time effectively and maintain an organized workflow Work closely with the shop supervisor on daily operations Process inbound shipments and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and clearly Manage outbound orders, ensuring they are fulfilled correctly Ensure all items are securely packed and labeled Attach all required paperwork, including packing slips, to outgoing orders Complete shipping reports and provide accurate documentation for accounting Take photos of shipments for records Assist with loading trucks and verifying shipment accuracy Operate a forklift (preferred)

Additional Responsibilities: (as needed):Prepare shipping reports Maintain and track back-ordered items; follow up with the shop supervisor Schedule pickups with trucking companies Prepare bills of lading Assist with inventory control and quality assurance

Qualifications: 1–2 years of relevant experience (shipping experience preferred)High school diploma or equivalent Familiarity with shipping processes and documentation Experience with rigging points is a plus Forklift experience preferred Must wear steel-toe boots on site
