What You'll Be Doing:
Perform in-process and final inspection of precision machined aerospace components
Utilize precision measurement tools including:
- Micrometers
- CalipersHeight GagesBore Gages
- ComparatorsSurface Plates/Layout Tools
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct and support First Article Inspections (AS9102)
- Document inspection results and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Identify nonconforming parts and follow proper containment procedures
- Support compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace standards
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent3–5+ years of aerospace inspection experienceExperience in inspecting precision-machined parts with tight tolerances
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&THands-on experience with standard inspection tools
- Comfortable working in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- (Nice to Have)CMM operation or programming experienceExperience with PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
- Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 (FAI), PPAP, PFMEAExperience with Net-Inspect or Discus
- Familiarity with JobBOSS or other MRP systems
