Adventist Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Family Medicine team in Avenal, California. This provider will work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and care coordinators to deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages. Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in patients across the lifespan
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with California regulations and organizational policies
Provide preventive care services, including wellness exams, immunizations, health screenings, and chronic disease management
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care
Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the EMR system
BenefitsCompetitive salary range: $132,000-$198,000 annually

Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program
Current California Nurse Practitioner license
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP preferred)
DEA certification and furnishing license required
Current BLS certification
Previous experience in Family Medicine, Primary Care, Community Health, or Rural Health preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Skills:
Experience managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular conditions
Experience providing preventive and wellness care across all age groups
Knowledge of evidence-based primary care practices
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
