We're looking for a creative, motivated, and highly organized Social Media Intern to join our team and help bring our brands to life across digital platforms. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing while working with a focus on experiential, social, and digital engagement.
What You'll Do:
No two days are exactly alike, but as a Fish Bluewater Social Media Intern, you'll help execute and support a wide range of digital marketing initiatives, including:
- Assist with the day-to-day execution of organic and paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Ensure all content aligns with Fish Bluewater's brand voice, marketing strategy, and sponsor commitments.
- Assist in creating and maintaining the social media content calendar.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to develop engaging content, captions, stories, reels, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor direct messages and audience interactions.
- Help identify opportunities for contests, giveaways, and audience engagement initiatives.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends, platforms, and content formats.
- Monitor competitors and industry leaders to identify creative opportunities and best practices.
- Remain flexible and adaptive as content priorities shift around tournaments, events, and sponsorship activations.
- Support additional marketing and event-related projects as needed.
- What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Previous experience in digital marketing or social media is preferred.
- Prior experience within the fishing or marine industry is a plus, but not required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
Passion for social media, storytelling, and building communities.
Ability to recognize and leverage trends that resonate with anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom), Canva, and CapCut.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
A strong creative eye and appreciation for design, photography, and visual storytelling.

Social Media Internship Program:
The Fish Bluewater Social Media Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in sports marketing, content creation, and audience development within the sportfishing industry. You will work alongside the Fish Bluewater team to help grow our brands, promote our events, and create content that connects with our anglers and fans across multiple platforms. Throughout the program, you will gain experience in content strategy, analytics, trend analysis, community engagement, and digital asset management while contributing to real marketing initiatives that reach thousands of our fans and customers. Weekly Responsibilities Content Planning & Strategy: Develop a weekly content calendar outlining upcoming organic and sponsored content across all platforms. The calendar should reflect tournament schedules and platform-specific trends. Content Creation: Create 4-5 original social media posts each week designed to: Promote events and tournament series. Increase audience engagement and community interaction. Support sponsor partnerships and campaigns. Strengthen overall brand awareness. Content should be tailored for platform-specific distribution on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Trial Reels Program: Create and publish two experimental "Trial Reels" each week on:@fishbluewater@fishbluewater.tvThe purpose of Trial Reels is to test creative concepts, storytelling styles, trends, and editing techniques that have the potential to generate organic reach and audience growth.

Develop a clear folder structure and naming system that improves accessibility, consistency, and long-term efficiency for the Fish Bluewater team.
What You'll Learn:
By the end of the program, you will have gained practical experience in: Social media marketing, content strategy, sports and outdoor brand marketing, copywriting, video editing, analytics and reporting, community engagement, trend identification, digital asset management, and Marketing campaign development. Most importantly, you'll learn that successful marketing isn't about going viral. It's about understanding your audience, telling compelling stories, testing ideas, and continuously improving.
