CNC Machinist

Responsibilities: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.o Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible mannero Reads and interprets blueprintso Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machineryo Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirementso Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance. Must be self-sufficient.o Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvementso Must be proficient with FANUC controlso Understands, interprets and edits FANUC G-code programmingo Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and toolingo Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsetso Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machineryo Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environmento Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the departmento Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedureso Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructionso Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and managemento Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful inputo Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant Communicates honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills1st Shift Position
