Description of the Department or Unit The Department of Sustainable Technology & the Built Environment (STBE) houses three academic programs: the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Renewable Energy Technology; the BS in Building Sciences, with two concentrations; and the Master of Science in Technology. The Department includes more than 35 full-time faculty serving approximately 950 undergraduate and 30 graduate students. STBE has played an integral role in building the University's sustainability agenda, which features prominently in the University’s Strategic Plan.
