We are seeking a skilled Union Class A Truck Driver to operate Class A vehiclesincluding belly dumps, side dumps, and tandem truckson highway heavy construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, experience with highway heavy construction materials transport, and a commitment to professional conduct and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class A vehicles (belly dump, side dump, tandem) for transport of materials within and between highway construction sites.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs as necessary.
Ensure loads are evenly balanced and adequately secured for transport.
Accurately fill out haul sheets, mileage, and other required forms.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and provide a professional appearance at all times.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, crew members, and supervisors.
Follow all company safety standards and Federal DOT regulations.
Participate in overtime and out-of-town assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Minimum 3 years of recent experience driving dump trucks, side dumps, and tandem trucks for highway or heavy construction projects.
Clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to travel and work overtime as required by the project schedule.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities as required by the position.
