Machine Operator We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to support production operations in our Bensenville facility. This role is responsible for assisting with the operation of roll wrapping machines, a critical step in the cable production process. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Operate and support roll wrapping machines, which represent a major step in the production process. Load large spools of cable onto machinery and ensure proper setup for production. Monitor and adjust machines as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Follow daily production schedules and meet output goals. Perform quality checks to ensure finished product meets specifications. Assist with general production duties as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Essential Skills Experience in machine operating and mechanical inclination. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Previous production experience is required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow instructions and production schedules. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Manufacturing or industrial production background preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods. Work Environment: This role operates on three shifts: 1st Shift (7am-3pm), 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm), and 3rd Shift (11pm-7am), Monday through Friday. The work involves manufacturing and coating electrical wires and cables, with the process starting with large spools of wire fed into machines at speeds of 1,2001,500 feet per minute. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
