The role:
Join a small team doing market and industry research for a federal technology program that wants more organizations in several critical-infrastructure industries to adopt its capabilities. Our job is to learn how those industries operate, find and interview their experts, and turn what we learn into engagement playbooks the program team uses. You will split your time between research and analysis with our lead researcher and project coordination with our project manager. Most of your time supports this program; the rest supports CULTIVA proposals and internal projects.
What you will do:
Research and analysis Scan industry literature, standards, and news, and build profiles of companies, associations, and decision-makers Help identify subject-matter experts; schedule interviews and focus groups, prepare discussion guides, and take accurate notes Code and synthesize findings into themes, tables, and short briefings Draft and edit sections of playbooks, reports, and slide decks Project coordination Keep the project schedule, action items, and risk log current Prepare agendas and materials for weekly client check-ins, and capture decisions and follow-ups Draft monthly status reports and track deliverables through quality review Keep project files organized and current in Share Point and Teams Building CULTIVAEveryone at CULTIVA helps build the company, not only the contract they support. In this role you will also: Support proposals with research, compliance checklists, resumes, and past-performance write-ups Help our capture team research new opportunities Help build CULTIVA's research and business-analysis toolkit: templates, interview guides, and a reusable library
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience 1 or more years of experience in research, analysis, consulting, program coordination, or similar work (internships and graduate assistantships count)Clear, concise writing; we will ask for a short writing sample Comfort with Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, and Share Point Organization and reliability: you track the details, meet deadlines, and respond quickly Comfort taking your own meeting notes, since AI note-taking tools are not permitted on client calls Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Nice to have:
Qualitative research experience: interviews, focus groups, coding Exposure to critical-infrastructure industries or to federal programs Proposal writing or business-analysis experience Project management coursework or a CAPM certification Location and schedule Hybrid, based at our office at 1255 Union St NE, Washington, DC. Most client meetings are virtual, and your in-office days are set with your manager. Full-time, Eastern time business hours.
Pay and benefits
Salary:
$52,000 to $60,000 a year, depending on experience. Full-time, salaried.
