We are seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to lead solution and enterprise architecture for large-scale banking programs. The role will define target architectures, design secure and scalable payment and core banking solutions, drive technology decisions and standards, and coordinate cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems while ensuring regulatory compliance and high availability. The ideal candidate combines deep banking domain knowledge with hands-on experience across cloud, APIs, payments (SWIFT, SEPA, ACH), ISO 20022, security, and integration technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Define and communicate enterprise and solution architecture roadmaps aligned to business strategy, regulatory requirements and TOGAF principles Design end-to-end payment and core banking solutions including ISO 20022 migrations, SWIFT/SEPA/ACH integration, tokenization, and fraud detection systems Lead API and integration architecture: REST/GraphQL/SOAP, OpenAPI, API Gateway, MuleSoft/Apigee/wSO2, and message middleware (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ) Specify cloud architecture and migration strategies across AWS, Azure and GCP, including container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines Drive identity and access management and cryptography standards: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, HSM, PKI, TLS/Encryption and PCI-DSS/GDPR controls Architect data solutions: data modeling, ETL, event-driven architectures, CDC, Kafka, NoSQL/SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB) and observability (Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, Datadog) Lead legacy modernization and mainframe integration efforts (COBOL, CICS), define migration approaches (strangling, replatforming, refactoring) and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning Collaborate with engineering, security, operations and business stakeholders to create designs, proof-of-concepts, and high-quality solution documentation (UML, DDD patterns, BIAN) Establish non-functional requirements and drive performance tuning, scalability, high availability, load balancing and SOX/compliance readiness Mentor architects and engineers, enforce architecture governance, participate in solution reviews and support RFPs and vendor evaluations
