Description: This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of Travere as we continue to grow in support of our commitment to identify, develop, and deliver life-changing therapies to people living with rare disease. During Travere Therapeutics' 11-week Early Career Talent Internship Program, beginning June 7, 2027, the intern will work in a hybrid environment (2 days onsite and 3 days virtually per week) and gain mentorship and cross-functional exposure while contributing to team objectives. The internship program will conclude with an opportunity to deliver a final presentation summarizing project work, key findings, contributions, and learning from the internship to senior leadership. Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Clinical Operations Intern, with the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the planning, execution, oversight and close out of clinical trials within a biotechnology company. The Clinical Operations Intern will support ongoing clinical studies through a variety of operational activities while gaining exposure to how cross-functional study teams work together. The intern will also complete a focused project focused on developing a Clinical Trial Lifecycle Map, designed to provide meaningful experience and contribute to Clinical Operations team objectives.
Responsibilities: Develop an understanding of how a clinical trial sponsor manages and oversees studies while supporting patient safety, data quality and integrity, study timelines, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Clinical Operations colleagues and cross-functional partners to support assigned study activities, departmental initiatives, and project deliverables, gaining exposure to the collaborative nature of clinical development. Participate in Study Management Team (SMT), Clinical Operations, vendor, and other cross-functional meetings to gain practical exposure to clinical trial planning, study start-up, execution, patient recruitment, study oversight, risk management, and closeout activities. Assist with the preparation and organization of study-team materials, including meeting agendas and presentations, status updates, study metrics, trackers, and other Clinical Operations resources used to support effective study management and decision-making. Develop familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of key clinical development functions and how Clinical Operations partners with areas such as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance/Safety, Clinical Supply, and other functions throughout the clinical trial lifecycle. Prepare and deliver a final presentation to Clinical Operations colleagues summarizing the Clinical Trial Lifecycle Map, key findings and recommendations, individual contributions, and overall learnings from the internship experience. Experience Requirements: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in life sciences, biology, biotechnology, public health, healthcare, or a related field, with at least one semester to complete prior to graduation. Interest in clinical research, drug development, biotechnology, or the pharmaceutical industry. Additional Skills/
