Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Senior Manager, Data Modeling - Global Legal Remote (U.S.) | Occasional travel to New York, NY $100-$120/hour | Contract Robert Half is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Modeling to support a global legal transformation initiative within a highly regulated organization. This role will lead enterprise data modeling, data governance, and data architecture efforts supporting Legal, Technology, and Business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- ✅ Design and maintain conceptual, logical, physical, and semantic data models
- ✅ Drive data governance, metadata management, data quality, privacy, and compliance initiatives
- ✅ Partner with Legal, Technology, Data, and Business teams to define data requirements and solution designs
- ✅ Develop data flows, mappings, and architecture documentation
- ✅ Support enterprise data platforms, analytics, reporting, AI, and automation initiatives
- ✅ Ensure alignment with regulatory, risk, and governance requirements
- ✅ Present data architecture recommendations to senior business and technology leaders
- ✅ Establish and promote data modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Governance, or Enterprise Data Management
- Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling methodologies
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, ETL/Data Integration tools, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, or related technologies
- Experience working within financial services, banking, or other highly regulated environments
- Expertise in metadata management, data governance, and enterprise architecture practices
- Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER Studio, Visual Paradigm, or similar
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Legal Operations or Legal Data experience
- Experience supporting in-house legal departments or law firms
- Experience with AI, advanced analytics, and enterprise reporting platforms
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks
