COO - OPS - Institutions Operations Correctional Lieutenant II (S) This position is located at Roanoke River Correctional in Halifax County, NC. This position will serve as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Correctional Captain and responsibilities may include management of multiple locations usually a minimum custody facility which is managed within the scope of the larger facility. These facilities house and provide services for 1,000 inmates or more. This position provides supervision of subordinate staff and is responsible for conducting shift line-ups, making shift assignments, and inspecting all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. Conducts inspections of housing units and other buildings, grounds, and posts to ascertain that officers are alert, that discipline is being maintained, and that assignments are carried out properly. This position will complete, review, and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms. This position will account for persons and funds and ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready and identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training for subordinate staff. This position will conduct internal investigations, develop operational plans, post orders, and Standard Operating Procedures. Salary Grade: $41,206-$72,113 The Posting Will Close At 11:59 P.M.
