Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist, including LCSW, LMFT, and LMHC professionals, to join our team at Families First Recovery Clinic. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive client evaluations to assess mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies to promote positive mental health outcomes. Provide mental health education and resources to clients and their families to increase understanding and encourage engagement in the treatment process. Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each client. Participate in regular clinical supervision and training sessions to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Document all client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with state regulations and clinic policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus: Working predominantly with diverse individuals facing various mental health challenges, you will engage with clients presenting with conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Your empathetic and culturally competent approach will ensure that all clients receive personalized care tailored to their unique backgrounds and experiences.
Qualifications: Possession of an active LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC license in New York, ensuring compliance with state regulations for mental health practice. A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution, demonstrating your foundational expertise in the field. Proficiency in utilizing technology in a clinical setting, including familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and related software.
Preferred Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience providing mental health counseling, preferably within a clinical or community setting. Experience with group therapy modalities or family therapy practices is highly valued, contributing to well-rounded therapeutic services.
