Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Methodist Healthcare seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Progressive Care Unit in San Antonio. In this leadership role, you’ll coordinate daily unit operations, support bedside nurses, and champion high-quality, compassionate care for intermediate-acuity patients. Responsibilities include serving as a clinical resource, guiding evidence-based practice, supporting staffing and throughput, and promoting safety and regulatory compliance. You’ll collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and contribute to quality initiatives in a mission-driven, team-focused environment with strong development and advancement opportunities. Coordinate daily operations of the Progressive Care Unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Serve as clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff, supporting evidence-based practice Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care planning and patient flow Oversee patient assessments, care plans, and transitions of care within the PCU Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload assignments to meet unit needs Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, implementing process improvements Support staff education, competency validation, and orientation of new team members Communicate effectively with patients and families, promoting a compassionate care experience Progressive Care nursing PCU/intermediate care clinical skills Patient assessment and monitoring Cardiac and telemetry interpretation Care coordination and discharge planning Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Nursing leadership and charge experience Quality and patient safety practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active RN license in TX or compact state Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred BSN strongly preferred Charge/clinical leadership experience preferred
