About the Opportunity: Congresswoman Carrie Meek built her career on turning policy into real opportunity for Miami-Dade's most underserved communities. The Carrie Meek Foundation carries that work forward through direct investment in Education, Housing, Health, and Economic Development — and through the relationships that make those programs work on the ground. As the Foundation's program footprint grows, it needs someone who can keep that work running with precision: coordinating logistics, maintaining strong community partnerships, and building a volunteer base that extends the Foundation's reach across South Florida. This is a role for someone who is as comfortable managing the details of a program calendar as they are building trust with a community partner or a Board member. Working closely with Foundation leadership, this role strengthens the connective tissue between programs, the communities they serve, and the governance that supports them. Purpose: Leads program execution, community outreach, volunteer engagement, and program communications. Strengthens organizational capacity by managing program logistics, building community relationships, and supporting governance and leadership operations.
Key Responsibilities: ● Coordinate program delivery, including planning, logistics, quality assurance, and post-event evaluation● Develop and refine program project management, SOPs, and implementation guides to ensure consistency and scalability● Monitor program performance, track KPIs, and prepare monthly reports for leadership and the board● Identify opportunities to expand or enhance program offerings, informed by community needs and organizational priorities● Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders to expand program reach on behalf of the Foundation● Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communications, and recognition efforts● Ensure timely follow-up, clear communication, and strong engagement with program participants and grantees● Coordinate board materials, logistics, communications, and governance support activities● Oversee internship program, providing mentorship and task management● Maintain program materials, supplies, and systems
Qualifications: ● Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred● 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit program coordination, community engagement, or administrative leadership● Demonstrated ability to manage projects, timelines, and multiple priorities● Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills● Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environments● Comfort with community-facing work, outreach, and stakeholder engagement● Ability to supervise volunteers, interns, or junior staff (preferred)Salary and Benefits● Salary: Competitive base salary● Benefits: Health insurance stipend provided
