Job Description:
Faststream Recruitment is working with an established international marine organization to recruit a Marine Technical Engineer to join its team in The Woodlands, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Marine Engineer or experienced marine technical professional who wants to build a long-term shore-based career while remaining closely connected to vessels, machinery and customers. We are particularly interested in speaking with seagoing Marine Engineers considering a move ashore, as well as Marine Service or Field Service Engineers with strong hands-on experience of 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine engines who would welcome a position offering greater stability and reduced travel.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical advice and responding to customer enquiries. Supporting the Sales, Supply and Customer Service teams on technical matters. Visiting customers and developing strong relationships with technical and engineering personnel. Monitoring used oil analysis results and providing technical guidance where required. Preparing machinery lubrication recommendations for marine equipment. Attending vessels for technical visits, product changeovers and trials. Working closely with colleagues internationally to provide customers with effective technical support. Travelling internationally, including periodic travel to Europe. The position is primarily a technical support and customer-facing role rather than a hands-on engine overhaul position, making it particularly attractive to an experienced field engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

A Mechanical or Marine Engineer experienced in servicing, maintaining or overhauling marine diesel engines. Experience with 2-stroke / 4-stroke marine engines and associated marine equipment is particularly important. You should be comfortable working independently, communicating directly with customers and producing clear technical reports. You must have the right to live and work in the US and be able to travel to Europe. What's On Offer? Alongside a base salary, the company offers a strong overall benefits package, including:21 days' PTO, in addition to company-observed public holidays. Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Company-paid medical insurance, including dependent coverage.
