Preconstruction Manager

The role: You'll own preconstruction from the earliest budgets through to GMP, on both public and private work. This is a client-facing role. You'll be in the room with owners and architects, not just building numbers behind the scenes. Day to day, you'll be: Leading projects from conceptual budgets through to GMPBuilding estimates, budgets and cost plans, and putting together competitive bids Running the CM-at-Risk and public procurement process Taking projects to market and managing trade partner relationships Finding value engineering opportunities and real cost savings Working directly with owners, architects and consultants Presenting estimates and proposals to clients with confidence Helping shape the strategy for winning competitive pursuits Working closely with the operations team so projects move smoothly from precon into the build What they're looking forA solid background in preconstruction and estimating Experience on both public and private projectsA good understanding of CM-at-Risk delivery and GMP development Strong technical estimating skills Comfort presenting to clients and building relationships with themA personable, outgoing approach Someone who works well in a close team An open mind about new technology, including AI tools Someone looking for a long-term home, not just their next move Why it's worth a look$120K–$135K base, depending on experience Annual performance bonus, typically $5K–$25KHealth insurance 100% covered for the employee 401(k)Short- and long-term disability Varied, challenging work across aviation, education, and public and private sectors The stability of a company that's been around for nearly 90 years, with room to grow Regular contact with senior leadership
