Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Preschool Teachers Assistant We are looking for experienced assistant teachers to join our private programs teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers are contracted for 10 months from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm. Staff will have the option to add to their salary by working before/after care and/or summer camp.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the lead teacher in a Jewish preschool program that serves students 18 months to PreKResponsible for the safety and security of the students at all times
- Assist with toileting, cleaning, and sanitizing in accordance with licensing standards
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Assist in making daily observations
- Gain knowledge of the preschool curriculum and Judaic content provided
- Interact and play with children in a positive calm manner
- Attend staff development, meetings and other required trainings for needed professional development hours
- Follow the state licensing and grow NJ kid expectations
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GEDCDA or bachelor's in education preferred
- First Aid /CPR certified, if not willing to get it within 90 days of employment
- At least 1 year experience working in preschool/childcare setting
- Experience with Judaic knowledge is a plus

Pay: From $28,000 to $31,000(September to June)
