Apply for this role →The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of programs that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role ensures high-quality services, promotes person-centered care, maintains regulatory compliance, and supports staff in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and maximize their independence. This position is ideal for a professional with 1-3 years of experience in human services, social services, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or a related field who is looking to take the next step into a leadership role.
Essential Responsibilities:
Program Operations Coordinate and oversee daily program activities to ensure quality service delivery. Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with organizational policies, state regulations, and funding requirements. Assist with program scheduling, staffing plans, and operational needs. Participant Support Promote person-centered planning and support individuals in achieving their goals. Monitor service plans and ensure services are aligned with individual needs. Address participant concerns and collaborate with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams. Foster an inclusive, respectful, and empowering environment for all individuals served. Staff Leadership Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other program staff. Assist with onboarding and training new employees. Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure ongoing communication regarding program expectations. Support employee engagement and promote a positive team culture. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate program records and documentation. Monitor compliance with Medicaid, licensing, accreditation, and agency standards. Assist with internal audits, inspections, and corrective action plans. Ensure incident reports are completed accurately and timely. Community Engagement Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners and service providers. Encourage community participation, employment opportunities, and social inclusion for individuals receiving services. Represent the organization professionally in meetings and community events.
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field 1-3 years of experience supporting adults with disabilities, behavioral health populations, or related human services programs. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel between program locations as needed. Ability to assist individuals during emergencies and participate in community activities. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
