What You'll Do:
- Cut, trim, prepare, and package meat products according to store standards
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and proper labeling
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the department
- Operate meat cutting, slicing, grinding, and packaging equipment safely
- Stock and organize meat displays and refrigerated cases
- Monitor temperatures and proper product storage procedures
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction
- Train and support meat cutter trainees and department team members
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with meat selections and recommendations
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Must be at least 18 years old due to equipment and work restrictions
- Previous meat cutting, butcher, food handling, grocery, or retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of meat cuts, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate meat cutting and packaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and store procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

- Fast-paced grocery store meat department
- Exposure to refrigerated coolers, freezers, and sharp cutting equipment
- Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
