Assistant Driller

Role Description: The Assistant Driller is a full-time, on-site role based in the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area. This position supports the Driller in daily field operations, including preparing drilling sites, handling tools and materials, and assisting with the operation of heavy equipment. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and breaking down drilling rigs, monitoring drilling progress, performing basic inspections of equipment, and helping maintain a clean and safe work area. The Assistant Driller will assist with conventional drilling activities as needed, follow all safety procedures, and comply with company and regulatory standards. The role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, collaborating closely with the crew, and completing assigned tasks efficiently to support well and pump service projects.

Qualifications: Ability to work with and around heavy equipment, including assisting in safe operation and basic maintenance. Foundational skills in drilling operations, with exposure to general drilling practices and directional drilling preferred. Experience or aptitude in inspection of tools, equipment, and work areas to identify potential safety or mechanical issues. Familiarity with oil & gas or related field operations is beneficial, especially in drilling or well service environments. Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to PPE requirements and company safety policies. Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift moderate weights, work outdoors, and stand for extended periods. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and support senior crew members. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior field or construction experience is an advantage. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area.
