Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager
Location Requirements: On-Site, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Job Type: Direct Hire
Role Overview:
Join a growing PMO supporting application implementation and enhancement projects. Manage projects end-to-end, from planning through delivery, across initiatives like ERP (Oracle Fusion), Workday, and Procore. Follow PMI standards, overseeing budgets and building detailed project plans. Operate within a waterfall/iterative hybrid methodology. Contribute to improving internal project standards and processes. Use AI tools thoughtfully to support administrative work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned IT projects from initiation through close, following PMI standards including budget ownership
- Build and maintain project plans, work breakdown structures, and RACI matrices
- Manage dependencies and cross-functional coordination
- Operate within a waterfall/iterative hybrid methodology (not Agile/Scrum)
- Contribute to growing the PMO by recommending standards, reviewing templates, and improving processes
- Participate in internal project management community activities, training, and team meetings
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to support administrative work, with review before distribution
Required Qualifications:
- PMP certification (required)7+ years of IT project management experience — specifically managing software/application implementation or enhancement projects (infrastructure project management experience counts; general/business-side project management does not)
- Strong knowledge of work breakdown structures, RACI, dependency management, and building project plans from scratch
- Experience with a project portfolio management tool (Clarity experience a plus, not required)
- Comfortable operating with minimal guidance once ramped up
- A collaborative, people-first communication style — valuing how you treat people as much as delivering on deadlines
