As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and confidential resident health records and documentation. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team in Lees Summit, MO.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for medical information while maintaining confidentiality
- File and organize medical documents, including physician orders, progress notes, and care plans
- Process admission and discharge documentation
- Coordinate records for surveys, audits, and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with data entry and reports as needed
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical records or health information management in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- CNA license preferred
